“I have been asleep. I don’t know for how long but it feels like an eternity. Hibernating, tucked away in a darkness that feels sweet and comfortable. Not having moved for so long, my body feels like a stranger as I rediscover myself and reach out to you.”
D(US)T is about transpassing borders, unifying duality and confronting shadow sides to create space for more light. It’s a story of wanting to connect with all the different parts of ourselves. The dark and the light. Night and day. You will witness two individuals being a mirror to each other and creating space for one another to explode, release, let go and face the fullness of oneself. “Reaching together you teach me to see more and further than I believe I ever could.”
The work has been shown and performed at DelTebre Dansa Festival (Deltebre, Spain); East London Dance (London, UK); SoloDuo Festival (Cologne, Germany); Migrats En Breu Festival (Valencia, Spain) and Tantrotsav (Pondicherry, India).
Nomad Dance Collective is a collective that was born in Deltebre Dansa, Spain. The collective consists of five professional dancers / performers. They got to know each other in different stages of their lives, at different places and different times. They somehow, by faith, ended up together in Spain in the summer of 2021.
